강화의 화문석을 비롯하여 유서 깊은 도자와 섬유에 이르기까지,인천은 예로부터 다채로운 전통 공예의 아름다움이 살아 숨 쉬는 곳이었습니다.그러나 안타깝게도 현대화의 흐름 속에서우리 공예인들의 설 자리는 점차 좁아지고 있는 현실입니다.
이에 사단법인 인천전통공예협회는흩어져 있던 인천의 장인들을 하나로 모아우리 전통의 맥을 굳건히 잇고자 새롭게 출범하였습니다.
협회가 자생력을 갖추고공예인들이 오롯이 창작에 전념할 수 있는 환경을 만들기 위해서는공예를 아끼고 후원해 주시는 여러분의 따뜻한 응원이 절실합니다.
후원회원 여러분의 소중한 정성은전통기술의 보존과 차세대 공예인 육성,그리고 인천 공예의 세계화를 위한 든든한 주춧돌이 될 것입니다.

I am Kang Eun-su, the Founding President of the Incheon Traditional Crafts Association.
From Ganghwa’s renowned Hwamunseok mats to historically rich ceramics and textiles, Incheon has long been a place where the beauty of diverse traditional crafts thrives.
However, amid the rapid tide of modernization, the space for our artisans has been steadily diminishing.
In response, the Incheon Traditional Crafts Association was established to bring together the dispersed artisans of Incheon and to firmly carry forward the legacy of our traditions.
For the Association to build sustainability and create an environment where artisans can fully dedicate themselves to their creative work, your continued support and encouragement are essential.
The generosity of our supporting members will serve as a cornerstone for preserving traditional techniques, nurturing the next generation of craftsmen, and advancing Incheon crafts onto the global stage.
